The unique design of the BODY BAT® Aerobic Exerciser allows you to swing your arms across the front of the body in a prescribed side to side "Pendulum Motion" in sync with each step from 110-130 times in one minute. The precise distance between the knobs generates stretching and exercising of the upper body muscle groups promoting a cardio-muscular workout without undue stress to joints.
Check with your doctor if you are fit enough to exercise. Follow the guide-lines recommended for a walking program of your present fitness level. Adding the BODY BAT® Aerobic Exerciser to your walking program will increase your energy output, therefore it is recommended that you do not walk as far or as fast you have been. As your fitness level increase you can turn to your original walking distance knowing that you are burning more calories as you Step-N-Swing® with BODY BAT®. You can stretch and swing with Body Bat in a Sitting position. A straight chair without arms is recommended. When using Body Bat indoors, always check to see that there is enough space in front, behind and on either side of you. Start your exercise session at a slow pace gradually increasing you pace and stride according to your fitness level. When walking with Body Bat buddy it's best to stagger yourselves about a foot apart. When passing another person hold Body Bat in both hands in vertical position. Leave at least five minutes for the cool down time by walking and swinging at a slower pace end your exercise session with some of the following stretches performing them slow and holding each stretch 15 to 30 seconds.
Treadmill workout and BODY BAT®
Avoid Treadmills with long side arms. Stand between the front and back of the Treadmill. Leave enough clearance on either side of the Treadmill, so you can swing the length of the entire BODY BAT®. Start at a slow pace eventually increasing the speed and/or incline of the Treadmill. Look straight ahead when walking.

The BODY BAT® Aerobic Exerciser is not a toy. Do not swing it in the vicinity of anyone or any object. Do not exercise without the advice of your doctor.
If you have balance difficulties, falls, or other problems that may lead to falls, avoid using the treadmill unless you have prior approval from your physician.
